For My Sunday Music #428, we popping “Champagne” by the band Cavo. “Champagne” was the lead single of their main label debut album from 2009 known as ‘Brilliant Nights, Darkish Days’. The track went to #1 on the US Mainstream Rock Songs and #8 Rock Songs chart taking the album to #47 on the Billboard 200 and to #3 on the Exhausting Rock Albums chart. Not a foul debut. I purchased this album based mostly off this one track and I used to be not dissatisfied.
The track was written by Chris Hobbs, Chad La Roy, Brian Smith and Casey Walker and the demo was recorded on Casey Walker’s cellphone. He wasn’t certain in regards to the track and when he lastly performed it the band, they began noodling with it and BAM!! inside 10 minutes that they had the beginning of a fantastic track.
